02. OBJECTIVE
Since Udaress is still in its MVP stage, the existing website was a simple landing page featuring a demo video and a "Book a Demo" button. While it served its initial purpose, it became clear that a full redesign was needed to showcase the tool’s reliability, better engage users, and drive more conversions.
03. EMPATHIZE
Conducting a thorough stakeholder interview is essential to fully understand the product, define the brief, and clarify the project scope.
03. DEFINE
“Teachers who want to provide quality education to their students need a reliable, easy-to-use tool that helps them manage their time efficiently, because they struggle to find ways to give each student the attention they need.”
To achieve this, we focused on brainstorming the insights gathered from educators about their needs and expectations for a tool like this, while keeping the stakeholders' goals for the redesign in mind.
04. IDEATE
05. PROTOTYPE
We began by putting everything together, starting with hand sketches to define the main sections of the website. From there, we moved to low-fidelity prototypes. We knew the website had to feature a video demo to showcase how the product works, testimonials from current users to highlight reliability, awards to establish credibility, and a "How It Works" section to break down the process into digestible chunks.
Every new tool seems overwhelming unless it's broken down into smaller, understandable segments.
The website structure that we opted for included:
Hero section with the value proposition
Try for FREE (CTA)
Partners
Explanation of benefits for Students, Teachers, and Administrators
"How It Works" in 3 steps + "Watch Demo" CTA
Key features
Testimonials
Awards
06. TEST
We tested the low-fidelity prototype, including these sections, and received valuable feedback.
"But how is Udaress different from ChatGPT?"
"How can I as a teacher trust that my students are doing the assignment themselves and not have need to reread everything to make sure?"
We immediately recognized the need to dedicate a section for these concerns. To address them, we included blog posts explaining:
How Udaress differs from ChatGPT, emphasizing that the AI is powered by reliable school publisher books.
A "Safe and Secure" post highlighting how the tool flags harmful content for teachers, detects cheating behavior, and ensures that data is never shared or sold.
Blog Posts Cards for Desktop
Blog Posts Cards for Mobile
To further showcase the tool’s reliability and credibility, I came up with the idea of including floating live stats in the hero section to instantly convey Udaress’ value. These stats highlight:
Hours saved per teacher.
Total questions answered on Udaress (verified with the founder for accuracy).
Improved student outcomes from using Udaress.
